Location: Celina, TX
Job Type: Full-time
We’re working with a growing civil engineering firm that is looking to add a Civil EIT / Project Engineer to its land development team in Celina.
This is a good fit for someone who wants to stay technical, get real project exposure, and grow past just drafting redlines all day. The team is looking for an ambitious early-career engineer who wants to build a long-term career in land development and be around experienced leaders who can help them keep progressing toward their PE.
You’ll be involved in a mix of residential, commercial, and site development projects across North Texas. The work will include Civil 3D design, grading, drainage, utilities, roadway/site layout, plan production, permitting support, and coordination with internal teams, clients, and local municipalities.
What you’ll be doing:
- Prepare civil construction plans for land development projects
- Work on grading, drainage, water, sewer, paving, and site layout design
- Use Civil 3D on active residential and commercial projects
- Support permitting packages and city/client submittals
- Coordinate with Project Managers, designers, and other technical staff
- Get exposure to the full project lifecycle from design through approval/construction support
- Continue developing toward Project Engineer and future PM-level responsibilities
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
- EIT or ability to obtain EIT preferred
- 2+ year of civil/site development experience preferred
- Civil 3D experience
- Exposure to grading, drainage, utilities, roadway design, or land development plan production
- Someone who is coachable, motivated, and wants to grow with a team
- Strong communication skills and willingness to learn
Why this could be worth a look:
This is not a role where you’ll be stuck in a narrow production seat with no path forward. The team is actively growing and wants someone who can develop technically, take on more responsibility, and eventually grow into a true Project Engineer/PM track.
You’ll get hands-on land development work, direct mentorship, and the chance to be part of a team that is building out its North Texas presence. If you’re a Civil EIT or early-career land development engineer looking for more growth, stronger mentorship, and a real path forward, this could be a strong next step.
