Full Job Description

Welcome to Serve and Savour! Our company is growing and we are looking to add an Executive Sous Chef to our BOH. Understanding our current profiles and what our clients like is paramount. From there, creativity is key and we want to bring new menu items to the public every season. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, overseeing food production, and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for culinary excellence, with experience in both fine dining and catering environments.

Duties

Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
Manage daily kitchen operations, including inventory management, menu planning, and food production.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment.
Collaborate with the Executive Chef to develop innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food handling practices, and hospitality standards.
Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies to maintain optimal stock levels.
Assist in shift management to ensure all kitchen stations are adequately staffed during peak service times.

Experience

Proven experience in a culinary leadership role, such as Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager.
Strong background in fine dining, catering, or restaurant management.
Demonstrated ability to manage a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
Experience with menu planning, food production, and inventory control within the food industry.
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices for food handling.
Previous banquet experience is highly desirable.
Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred. Join us in creating exceptional dining experiences while leading a passionate team dedicated to culinary excellence.
Communication in Spanish is a huge plus

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 50 per week
