Receptionist / Front Desk — CPA Office

Position Type: Full-Time
Department: Administration / Client Services
Reports To: Office Manager / CPA Partner

Position Summary

We are seeking a friendly, professional, and organized Receptionist / Front Desk professional to be the first point of contact for our CPA office. This position will provide excellent customer service to clients, answer and direct phone calls, manage the front desk, assist with administrative tasks, and help keep the office running smoothly—especially during busy tax season.

Key Responsibilities

Greet clients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls.
Schedule client appointments and maintain calendars.
Respond to general client inquiries and direct questions to the appropriate staff member.
Receive, organize, scan, copy, and distribute client documents.
Assist with collecting tax documents and other information from clients.
Maintain organized client files and office records.
Handle incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and correspondence.
Monitor and respond to general office emails.
Assist with administrative and clerical tasks as needed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.
Protect confidential client and financial information at all times.
Provide additional administrative support to CPAs and tax staff during busy periods.

Qualifications

Previous receptionist, front desk, administrative, or customer service experience preferred.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Professional and courteous telephone manner.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Comfortable working with computers, email, Microsoft Office, and office equipment.
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
Reliable, dependable, and punctual.
Experience in a CPA, accounting, tax, or professional services office is a plus, but not required.

The ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with people. They should be able to remain calm and organized in a busy office environment and understand the importance of professionalism and confidentiality when working with sensitive financial information.

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
