Full Job Description

Critical Care Flight Respiratory Therapist (Neonatal Specialty Care)

Home Based. Fixed Wing Long Distance Critical Care Transport

Job duties:

-Perform duties assigned to Flight Respiratory Therapist.

- Function as active member of the Neonatal Specialty Care Team

- Provide specialized nursing care to a diverse patient population ranging from neonatal to geriatric.

- Monitor and assess the health status of patients throughout transport, including vital signs, respiratory function, and neurological development.

- Administer treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians and/or standing orders

- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans for each patient

- Perform venipuncture and collect blood samples for laboratory testing

- Assist with procedures such as intubation, central line placement, and ventilator management

-Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic medical records systems

Qualifications:

-Live within 1 hour of a Major Airport in the Continental United States

-Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Neonatal ICU

-Additional experience with adult and geriatric population preferred

-Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy

- Proficiency in medical documentation systems

- Experience with patient assessment and monitoring

- Ability to perform venipuncture and administer injections

- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

· Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in the state of practice

· Valid NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist

RRT-NPS and/or RRT-ACCS (Preferred)

Work Location: Company Provided Travel with a 8 days on, six days off schedule.
