Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled CT Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will operate advanced computed tomography (CT) imaging equipment to produce detailed cross-sectional images of patients’ internal structures, supporting accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Your expertise will ensure the delivery of exceptional patient care while adhering to strict radiation safety protocols. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide top-tier diagnostic imaging services.

Responsibilities

Operate CT imaging equipment with precision, ensuring high-quality diagnostic images for various clinical indications including trauma, emergency care, and specialized procedures such as PET scans and interventional radiology.
Prepare patients for imaging procedures by explaining the process, positioning them correctly, and ensuring their comfort throughout the exam.
Implement radiation safety procedures diligently to protect patients, staff, and yourself from unnecessary exposure during all imaging activities.
Assist with other radiologic imaging modalities such as X-ray, fluoroscopy, mammography, DEXA scans, and nuclear medicine procedures as needed.
Collaborate with physicians and radiologists to perform diagnostic evaluations and ensure optimal image quality for accurate interpretation.
Maintain detailed documentation of procedures performed, patient information, and equipment settings in compliance with healthcare regulations.
Stay current with advancements in radiology technology and participate in ongoing training to enhance your skills in areas like physiology knowledge, medical terminology, and emergency medicine protocols.

Requirements

Proven experience operating CT scanners in a clinical setting, preferably within urgent care or emergency room environments.
Knowledge of advanced radiologic techniques including PET scans, interventional radiography, fluoroscopy, mammography, DEXA scans, and nuclear medicine procedures.
Strong understanding of radiation safety procedures and implementing radiation safety protocols effectively.
Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology relevant to diagnostic radiology.
Experience working in Level I or Level II trauma centers is highly desirable.
Ability to perform X-ray imaging and operate various radiologic imaging equipment confidently.
Excellent patient care skills with a focus on aseptic technique and maintaining patient comfort during procedures.
Certification as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT certification preferred) or equivalent licensure as required by state law.
Prior experience in emergency medicine or urgent care settings is a plus.
