We are expanding our public-sector business and are looking for an experienced Government RFP & Proposal Specialist to help Secure Techies identify, pursue, and win government contracts.
This is not an entry-level proposal writing position. We are looking for someone with a proven history of winning government opportunities for technology companies.
Responsibilities
- Search daily for federal, state, county, city, education, and public-sector IT bidding opportunities.
- Identify contracts that align with Secure Techies' services.
- Manage the entire proposal lifecycle from opportunity identification through contract submission.
- Prepare high-quality RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, and bid responses.
- Coordinate with our engineering and technical teams to gather pricing, technical responses, and supporting documentation.
- Register Secure Techies with government procurement portals and maintain vendor profiles.
- Ensure compliance with solicitation requirements, certifications, and submission deadlines.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified government opportunities.
- Recommend certifications, registrations, and contracting vehicles that will increase Secure Techies' eligibility for public-sector contracts.
- Assist in developing capability statements, past performance documentation, proposal templates, and compliance documentation.
Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years of experience preparing and submitting government proposals.
- Experience with Federal, State, County, or Municipal procurement.
- Experience working with IT consulting, managed services, cybersecurity, cloud, networking, or technology companies.
- Strong understanding of procurement terminology including RFPs, RFQs, RFIs, IFBs, sole source, cooperative purchasing, and government contract compliance.
- Experience using procurement portals such as SAM.gov, Cal eProcure, California Multiple Award Schedules (CMAS), city and county procurement systems, education procurement portals, and similar government marketplaces.
- Ability to manage multiple proposal deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent writing and communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience with GSA Schedule contracts.
- Experience with Department of Defense opportunities.
- Experience with cooperative purchasing programs.
- Knowledge of CMMC, NIST, or other government IT compliance frameworks.
- Existing relationships within government procurement or contracting.

Compensation
This is a commission-based opportunity designed for professionals confident in their ability to produce results.
- 25% of Secure Techies' net profit on awarded projects that you originate and successfully help win.
- Commission is paid after Secure Techies receives payment from the client.
- There is no earning cap.
- A salary plus commission structure may be offered after a proven track record of winning contracts.
