Full Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with company accounting procedures, and supporting day-to-day dealership accounting functions. This position requires a solid understanding of accounting practices and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

· Maintain and update financial records, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger entries

· Prepare and review financial and operational reports in accordance with standard accounting practices

· Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including account reconciliations

· Process and reconcile dealership transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

· Interpret financial reports to help support management decision-making

· Collaborate with the accounting team and dealership departments on accounting tasks

· Provide assistance during internal reviews and audits as required

· Ensure accuracy, organization, and compliance with company accounting procedures and best practices

Requirements

· Proven experience in accounting or a related field preferred; dealership accounting experience a plus

· Solid understanding of general accounting principles and standard accounting practices

· Experience with accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory and general ledger accounting is essential

· Strong financial report writing and interpretation skills

· Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively

· Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset

· Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Excel for data analysis

· Dealer Management system experience is preferred (Lightspeed, NXT, Dealertrack, Reynolds & Reynolds, CDK)
