Metal Processor

Job Type: Full-time
Location: 17000 Sierra Highway, Canyon Country, CA 91351
Schedule: Monday through Friday, starting at 6:00 a.m. Typical shifts are 8–10 hours, with overtime opportunities.

Job Summary

The Metal Processor prepares and transforms raw steel into components used to manufacture waste containers and related equipment. This position operates industrial machinery, supports production schedules, maintains material inventory, and performs quality-control inspections.

Responsibilities

Operate a press brake, shear, forklift, and other heavy equipment.
Process steel according to production specifications and schedules.
Inspect completed work for quality, accuracy, and workmanship.
Perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
Maintain accurate material and inventory records.
Complete required shop reports and submit paperwork daily.
Communicate production issues to the Foreman, Plant Manager, and office staff.
Keep machinery and work areas clean, organized, and safe.
Follow all company policies, training procedures, and safety instructions.
Comply with OSHA requirements and established safety protocols.
Work collaboratively with production employees to meet daily goals.
Participate in process and workflow improvements.

Qualifications

Experience operating a press brake, shear, forklift, or similar industrial equipment.
Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish.
Basic mechanical and equipment-troubleshooting skills.
Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work well with others.
Able to follow production drawings, schedules, and instructions.
Able to lift at least 50 pounds safely.
Strong attention to quality, safety, and organization.
