Full Job Description

Job Description

General contractor located in Ridgeland, MS seeking a job-site superintendent with a minimum of 5 years’ experience as either a foreman or superintendent in residential/multifamily wood-framed construction. This position would entail constructing 40 multifamily units. Looking for a skilled individual with superior communication skills, dependable, and willing to work with others. Individuals with superior attitudes and clean background checks, only, please apply.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Manage and coordinate with labor crews, subcontractors, and suppliers at job site location
Ensure projects are efficiently run with quality of work and safety being main priorities
Ensure projects are on schedule and within budget
Coordinate with project manager on scheduling
Coordinate with owners, architects/engineers, and jurisdictional inspectors daily, to ensure smooth workflow and processes

Required knowledge and skills:

Must be proficient in reading plans
Must have experience in all facets of residential construction (grading, utilities, concrete, roofing, framing, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, etc.)
Good communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe
Must fill out and record daily reports and progress reports
Experience with Davis-Bacon and Section 3 a plus

Job Type: Full-time Salaried Position

Pay: Based on Experience, $75,000-$100,000
