Design/Project Manager – Kitchen & Bath
We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and dependable Design/Project Manager to join our flooring and remodeling team. The ideal candidate has a background in kitchen & bath design, sales, and remodeling, with the ability to work directly with customers, create functional designs, present proposals, and manage projects from start to finish.
This position requires someone who is responsible, trustworthy, organized, and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage projects with little to no supervision. You should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, communicating with customers, installers, and vendors, following up on proposals, and stepping outside of your role when needed to support the team.
Responsibilities:
- Meet with customers to understand their needs, style preferences, budget, and overall vision for their project.
- Assist customers with design and material selections including flooring, tile, countertops, cabinets, backsplashes, showers, vanities, fixtures, hardware, and more.
- Create functional, visually appealing, and realistic designs for kitchens, bathrooms, showers, flooring projects, and other remodeling projects.
- Prepare proposals, present design options, and clearly communicate project details and pricing to customers.
- Follow up consistently with customers on proposals, questions, selections, and pending decisions.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the entire sales and remodeling process.
- Manage assigned projects from the initial consultation through installation and completion.
- Coordinate with customers, installers, contractors, vendors, and other members of the remodeling team.
- Communicate project details and expectations clearly with installers and customers.
- Review measurements, material selections, layouts, purchase orders, and project details carefully to ensure accuracy.
- Identify potential construction or installation issues before they become problems.
- Communicate with product vendors regarding product availability, lead times, and product information.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, technical specifications, and current sales information.
- Stay organized and keep track of multiple projects, orders, deadlines, and customer follow-ups.
- Correspond with customers and vendors by phone and email.
- Assist with showroom responsibilities and administrative duties as needed, including answering phones, scanning, organizing, cleaning, and maintaining an organized showroom.
- Work as a team player and be willing to step outside of your normal role when necessary to help the business and your coworkers.
What We're Looking For:
- Previous experience in kitchen & bath design and/or remodeling is strongly preferred.
- Design and customer service experience is required; experience in flooring, remodeling, construction, kitchen & bath, or a related industry is a strong plus.
- Strong understanding of kitchen and bathroom remodeling and construction.
- Knowledge of installation methods and construction aspects involving tile, showers, backsplashes, flooring, cabinetry, countertops, and related remodeling work.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to understand measurements, layouts, specifications, and installation requirements.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service and sales skills.
- Excellent follow-up skills and the ability to confidently follow up on proposals and turn opportunities into sales.
- Highly responsible, dependable, trustworthy, and self-motivated.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with little to no supervision.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to think beyond the design and understand how a project will actually be constructed and installed.
- Comfortable working directly with customers and helping them make design and material decisions.
- Computer proficiency and knowledge.
- Experience with kitchen & bath or design software is a plus.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in design, business, or a related field is preferred.

You should understand the remodeling process and be able to create designs that are not only beautiful but also functional and realistic to install. You should take ownership of your projects, stay on top of customer communication and follow-ups, pay close attention to the smallest details, and make sure nothing falls through the cracks.
You must be comfortable working independently, making decisions, solving problems, and managing multiple projects while maintaining a professional and positive attitude.

Experience:
- 2 years of design and sales experience strongly preferred.
- Kitchen & bath design or remodeling experience strongly preferred.
- Construction, flooring, tile, cabinetry, countertops, or related industry experience is a major plus.
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
- Must be available to work rotating Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
Compensation:
- Hourly base pay + commission
