Full Job Description

We are seeking a full-time Sterilization Processing Technician to play a pivotal role in ensuring the meticulous preparation of surgical instrumentation, including thorough decontamination, inspection, and preparation for terminal sterilization. Additionally, this role executes various sterilization methods such as Autoclave, GI, and soak sterilization, proficiently cleans and sterilizes flexible scopes and efficiently verifies biological testing outcomes. Administrative responsibilities include monitoring inventory, using software and computers provided, identifying opportunities for quality improvement, participating in meetings and committees, maintaining certifications, and training new team members. Successful Sterilization Processing Technicians perform effectively in emergencies, apply their knowledge of aseptic techniques and infection control policies and procedures, and excel in their communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

SCHEDULES

Flexible daytime schedules working Monday - Friday.
Five 8-hour shifts within 8:00AM-5:30PM or Four 10-hour shifts within 8:00AM-6:30PM
NO WEEKENDS. NO ON-CALL. NO HOLIDAYS.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Central Sterilization Processing experience preferred; decontamination, prepare and package, sterilization, sterile storage, etc.
IHACSMM certification preferred.
BLS certification is required; can be obtained upon hire.
