Position Summary
Emergency Veterinary Technicians are an essential part of our medical team. This position supports our veterinarians in providing exceptional nursing care for emergency and critical patients while continuing to develop advanced technical skills.
Responsibilities
- Patient assessments and TPRs
- IV catheter placement and medication administration
- ICU and hospitalized patient monitoring
- Emergency procedures and surgical assistance
- Anesthesia monitoring and recovery
- Laboratory sample collection and diagnostics
- Diagnostic imaging assistance
- Patient treatments and nursing care
- Medical record documentation
- Client communication and discharge education
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Veterinary technician experience preferred
- CVT/RVT preferred (or actively pursuing credentialing)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced emergency environment
- Comfortable caring for critically ill or injured patients
- Desire to continue learning advanced emergency medicine skills
Schedule
We are hiring for full-time and part-time positions. Our hospital provides emergency care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and candidates must be available to work flexible schedules, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
