We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Medical Receptionist/Scheduler to support our busy ophthalmology practice. This role is essential to ensuring a smooth, welcoming, and efficient experience for every patient who walks through our doors.
You will be the first point of contact for patients -responsible for scheduling appointments, registering patients, verifying insurance, coordinating referrals, and supporting clinic flow. If you enjoy a fast-paced environment, take pride in accuracy, and love helping people, you'll thrive here.
What You'll Do:

Greet and register patients, ensuring accuracy of demographic, insurance, and medical information

Schedule appointments for multiple providers, including specialty and follow-up visits.

Verify insurance coverage and obtain authorizations as needed.

Coordinate referrals with outside clinics and providers.

Answer patient calls, messages, and scheduling requests with professionalism and empathy.

Support clinic workflow by communicating effectively with technicians, nurses, and physicians.

Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with organizational standards.

Provide exceptional customer service to ensure a positive patient experience from start to finish.
What You Bring:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional medical office training is a plus.

1-3 years of experience in a medical office, scheduling, or customer service role.

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

Comfort working in a fast-paced, multi-provider environment.

Ability to learn medical terminology and ophthalmic workflows.

A positive attitude and willingness to support the team wherever needed.
Schedule & Work Environment

Full-time | 40 hours/week

Monday - Friday

Schedule may vary between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Occasional same-day travel to satellite clinics may be required
