About the Role
Video Pipe Inspection, Inc. is hiring a CCTV Camera Operator Trainee / Field Technician to support underground pipeline inspection and utility inspection projects. This is a hands-on, outdoor position that involves operating inspection equipment, traveling to job sites, and working in a structured field environment.
This role is ideal for candidates with a mechanical aptitude, construction or labor experience, or interest in skilled trades. This position offers long-term career growth in the pipeline inspection and utilities industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and assist with CCTV pipeline inspection equipment
- Perform underground pipe and sewer inspections
- Set up, maintain, and transport field equipment
- Accurately record and document inspection data
- Follow safety procedures and OSHA guidelines
- Travel regularly to job sites and assist with project completion
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass drug screening and background check
- Willingness to travel frequently, including overnight travel
- Ability to work outdoors in heat, humidity, and weather conditions
- Strong reliability, punctuality, and work ethic
- Ability to follow instructions and work on a team
Preferred Experience (Not Required)
- Construction, utility, or field service experience
- Experience with mechanical equipment, tools, or cameras
- Background in pipeline inspection, sewer inspection, or underground utilities
- CDL license (a plus)
Work Environment
- Frequent travel throughout Southeast Louisiana
- Overnight travel required (lodging and per diem provided)
- Physically active, outdoor work environment
- Variable schedule depending on project needs
- Overtime paid after 40 hours
Pay & Benefits
- $16–$18 per hour
