Full Job Description

Overview

Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and supporting our clinical operations. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills in dental assisting, patient management, and infection control will make a meaningful difference. You will assist dentists during procedures, ensure the smooth flow of daily operations, and uphold the highest standards of clinical confidentiality and safety. Duties

Prepare treatment rooms with dental instruments, materials, and equipment according to sterilization procedures and infection prevention standards
Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with chairside support
Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans while ensuring proper radiation safety protocols are followed
Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix Ascend, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Provide patient care by taking vital signs, explaining procedures, and addressing patient questions with professionalism and empathy
Process dental instruments through sterilization protocols using aseptic techniques to prevent infection transmission
Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient flow with patient management software, and assisting the dental receptionist as needed

Requirements

Proven experience working as a Dental Assistant or in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures
Familiarity with Dentrix Ascend.
Knowledge of dental terminology, equipment operation, and infection control practices including dental sterilization procedures
Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures safely while adhering to radiation safety standards
Strong understanding of anatomy relevant to oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry
Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages and coordinate with the dental team
Certification in dental assisting and X-ray certified.
