Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and energetic Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality metal structures and products, supporting various construction and manufacturing projects. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication specifications.
- Perform welding using various techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards and ASME codes.
- Fabricate metal components by cutting, shaping, bending, and assembling sheet metal, pipework, ductwork, and structural elements using plasma cutters, press brake machines, power tools, and hand tools.
- Measure materials accurately with calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math skills to ensure precise fabrication.
- Use rigging equipment for lifting and positioning heavy components safely on construction sites or within the shop environment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area by adhering strictly to safety protocols; operate forklifts and other machinery responsibly.
- Collaborate with team members to interpret technical drawings and schematics for complex assemblies or mechanical fabrication projects.
- Assist in pipe threading, soldering, machining, or assembly tasks as needed on various projects.
- Ensure all work complies with industry standards for quality, safety, and durability while meeting project deadlines.
Qualifications
- Proven construction site experience or manufacturing background with metal fabrication focus.
- Proficiency in welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW; knowledge of welding standards preferred.
- Strong understanding of blueprint reading and mechanical blueprint interpretation.
- Experience operating measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and schematics for precise fabrication.
- Familiarity with rigging, pipe threading, plasma cutting, press brake machines, and power tools.
- Knowledge of ASME codes & standards related to metal fabrication and welding practices.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately while applying shop math skills effectively.
- Mechanical knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes including ductwork assembly and structural steel work.
- Commitment to safety protocol adherence in all aspects of work; experience working on construction sites is a plus.
- Excellent hand tool skills along with experience using machining equipment when necessary.
- Valid certifications in welding (MIG, TIG, FCAW) from recognized institutions; AWS certification preferred.

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
Pay: $25.49 - $30.70 per hour
