Job Overview:
The responsibilities of a home inspector require a broad range of abilities. In addition, the inspector must have the interpersonal skills to communicate findings both verbally and in a written report format.
This position will work with the business owner and/or additional team members to achieve the highest level of customer satisfaction and revenue goals and standards of practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Property Inspection: Visually inspect and test all major components of a home, including foundation, roof, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, insulation, and safety features.
- Advanced Diagnostics: Utilize thermal imaging (infrared cameras) to detect hidden water intrusion, insulation issues, and electrical problems.
- Reporting: Document findings accurately and write comprehensive, easy-to-understand reports using customized software.
- Client Communication: Clearly explain complex issues to clients, build trust, and ensure they feel confident in their decision.
- Scheduling & Logistics: Must be efficient with time management at appointments and be able to access properties via Supra eKey.
- Value-Added Services: Termite, radon, mold testing, sewer scope and pool & spa

Primary Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
- Complete a concise and detailed inspection of the home including but not limited to all crawl spaces and attic areas, along with completing ancillary services: termite, mold testing, radon testing, pool & spa, and sewer scope
- Convey all findings in a professional manner using proper grammar and punctuation
- Communicate professionally with real estate agents and customers
- Consult and make recommendations to real estate agents and customers for additional services offered by QualitySpec Home Inspection
- Maintain accurate records of all home inspections including photos, written details about the inspection of completed inspection reports
- Maintain a strong sense of time management to ensure all inspections are arrived at 15 minutes prior to scheduled start time and home inspections are completed within the allotted time frame
- Establish a proactive follow up process to ensure all customers are contacted in a reasonable time frame
- Complete all paperwork and follow established company procedures from initiation through completion of the booked home inspections
- Participate in marketing events such as lunch and learn events, trade shows, and office visit marketing programs
- Responsible for all company issued equipment

- Requires significant local travel to current and potential clients. This requires the possession of a valid state driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Job Requirements:
- Certifications: Must have full certification from interNachi or ASHI and must maintain your certification. Certification from an accredited home inspection school preferred. (PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THESE certifications).
- Preferred ancillary certifications: Wood Destroying Insect, Pool, Sewer Scope, Radon & Thermography (must be completed within 6 months of hire)
- Preferred at least 2 years home inspection experience or have performed 480 inspections a year
- Background check will be required.
- Must reside in Metro Atlanta
Computer Skills: Proficient computer skills particularly using AI, internet and email
Literacy and Numeracy: Able to understand information located on various equipment and/or appliance labels. Must be a competent writer
Business and Selling Skills: Must possess excellent face-to-face and telephone communication skills
- Performance based pay + Flat Fee for Ancillary Services
- SOFTWARE & INSURANCE: We provide access to reporting software. You must have your own general liability and E&O insurance.
- MAJOR EQUIPMENT: You must have major equipment such as drone, thermal imaging gun, sewer scope machine, etc.
- An administrative fee will be deducted from each completed general home inspection before compensation is calculated. This fee helps offset the company’s costs associated with providing operational support, report software, technology, marketing, quality assurance, equipment management, and other administrative expenses necessary to support inspection operations.
- Willing to work some weekends.

Compensation:
Percentage of General Inspection. Flat fee for ancillary services performed.
- New trainees would be hourly ($20 an hour) while undergoing on the job training. Standard inspector performance pay will apply once inspector has passed their on the job training.
