Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Assistant Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will support the accounting department by performing essential bookkeeping tasks and ensuring accurate financial records. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of our financial data and assisting with various accounting functions.

Duties

Some basic HR onboarding, payroll processing job through Paychex system. No previous experience necessary for payroll processing. Its a big plus if you can.
Assist in maintaining accurate financial records through double entry bookkeeping.
Perform bank reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for.
Support the preparation of general ledger reconciliations and ensure accuracy in accounts receivable.
Collaborate with the accounting team on budgeting processes and financial reporting.
Utilize accounting software to input data, generate reports, and track financial transactions.
Help with corporate accounting tasks as needed, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
Provide support during audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a clerk or in public accounting is preferred.
Strong understanding of budgeting, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation processes.
Proficiency in accounts receivable management and corporate accounting principles.
Familiarity with accounting software is essential for efficient data management.
Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
