Job Summary
The Wellness Spa Sales & Membership Consultant is responsible for converting prospective clients into treatment-package and membership clients while creating a warm, personalized, and professional experience.
This position manages prospective clients throughout the sales process—from the initial inquiry and consultation through follow-up, enrollment, and appropriate re-engagement. The ideal candidate has proven experience selling memberships, packages, or high-value services in a medical spa, wellness, aesthetics, fitness, or similar relationship-based environment.
This is a consultative sales role. The Sales & Membership Consultant is expected to listen carefully, understand each prospective client’s goals, explain appropriate Corrections services and purchasing options, address nonclinical questions, and confidently guide the client toward a decision without using high-pressure sales tactics.
This is a performance-based sales position. Compensation includes base pay plus commission. Total earnings are based on individual sales performance.
Schedule and Location Requirements
This position requires flexible availability, including daytime, evening, and Saturday shifts. The primary work location is Sudbury; however, the employee must be willing and able to travel to the Pembroke location when needed for coverage, training, meetings, or other business needs.
Primary Responsibilities Consultations and Sales
- Conduct scheduled sales consultations for approved Corrections services, packages, and memberships.
- Create a welcoming and personalized consultation experience that reflects the Corrections brand.
- Ask thoughtful questions to understand each prospective client’s goals, concerns, priorities, budget, and readiness to begin.
- Explain approved services, treatment packages, memberships, financing or payment options, and current promotions clearly and accurately.
- Recommend appropriate purchasing options based on approved Corrections offerings and information provided by the client.
- Present pricing confidently and clearly communicate the value of the recommended program.
- Address common nonclinical questions and sales objections professionally.
- Collect deposits and payments in accordance with Corrections policies.
- Ensure clients understand package or membership terms before completing a purchase.
- Schedule the client’s first appointment or next appropriate step before the consultation concludes.
- Maintain a supportive, educational, and client-centered approach without making clients feel pressured.
Lead Management and Follow-Up
- Respond promptly to incoming telephone, website, social media, advertising, text, and referral leads.
- Contact new leads using Corrections-approved call, text, and email scripts.
- Qualify prospective clients and schedule consultations.
- Confirm consultations and follow established processes for reducing cancellations and no-shows.
- Follow up consistently with prospective clients who do not purchase during their initial consultation.
- Re-engage older leads, previous consultation clients, inactive clients, and other assigned contact lists.
- Maintain organized follow-up tasks and complete outreach within required timeframes.
- Document every significant client interaction, follow-up attempt, outcome, and next step in the designated system.
- Identify common reasons clients do not schedule or purchase and communicate those trends to management.
- Maintain accurate lead statuses so management can evaluate marketing and sales performance.
Membership and Package Sales
- Promote red light therapy memberships, treatment packages, and other approved Corrections programs.
- Explain membership benefits, frequency options, pricing, and terms accurately.
- Identify opportunities to transition appropriate package clients into ongoing memberships.
- Support membership retention by reinforcing program value and helping clients understand how to use their benefits.
- Identify appropriate renewal, upgrade, and re-enrollment opportunities.
- Follow up with clients approaching the end of a package to discuss approved continuation options.
- Assist with approved promotional events, open houses, outreach campaigns, and referral initiatives.
- Work toward established individual and team sales goals.
Client Experience
- Represent Corrections with a polished, friendly, confident, and professional demeanor.
- Build trust with prospective and existing clients through active listening and clear communication.
- Provide a consistent experience from initial inquiry through purchase and scheduling.
- Protect client privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times.
- Respond to client concerns calmly and involve management or a qualified provider when appropriate.
- Avoid promises, guarantees, exaggerated claims, or language that could create unrealistic expectations.
- Maintain appropriate contact with clients while respecting communication preferences and opt-out requests.
- Support a premium but approachable environment focused on wellness, confidence, and personalized care.
Sales Administration and Reporting
- Accurately enter leads, consultations, purchases, payments, notes, and follow-up activity into the practice management or customer relationship system.
- Maintain accurate records of lead sources and marketing campaigns.
- Track consultation attendance, sales outcomes, package purchases, membership enrollments, and follow-up activity.
- Review assigned sales opportunities and follow-up tasks each workday.
- Provide management with regular updates regarding sales activity, results, client feedback, and barriers to conversion.
- Assist with tracking key sales metrics, including:
- Lead response time
- Lead-to-consultation booking rate
- Consultation attendance rate
- Consultation conversion rate
- Package and membership sales
- Average sale amount
- Follow-up completion
- Membership enrollments and renewals
- Follow all policies regarding discounts, refunds, deposits, promotions, financing, and complimentary services.
- Obtain management approval before offering any exception, discount, or term that has not been formally authorized.
Team and Operational Support
- Work collaboratively with the owner, management, front-desk team, and Treatment Specialists.
- Communicate relevant client goals, purchases, concerns, and scheduling needs to the appropriate team members.
- Participate in staff meetings, sales training, service education, role-playing, and performance coaching.
- Maintain current knowledge of approved services, packages, memberships, promotions, and policies.
- Provide management with feedback about lead quality, client objections, competitive concerns, and sales opportunities.
- Assist with reasonable client-experience and operational responsibilities during slower sales periods.
- Support sales and service consistency across all Corrections locations.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- At least two years of successful sales experience preferred.
- Prior experience selling medical spa, aesthetic, wellness, fitness, health-club, boutique fitness, or other membership-based services strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience selling packages, memberships, programs, or other relationship-based services.
- Proven ability to follow up with leads and confidently ask for the sale.
- Strong interpersonal, telephone, written, and in-person communication skills.
- Ability to build rapport quickly while maintaining a professional and consultative approach.
- Comfortable discussing pricing, payment options, and financial commitment with prospective clients.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple leads, follow-up tasks, and sales opportunities simultaneously.
- Ability to learn and use practice-management, scheduling, payment, and lead-management systems.
- Dependable attendance, punctuality, and schedule flexibility.
- Ability to work toward measurable individual and team sales goals.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling recurring memberships or high-value service packages.
- Familiarity with medical spa, aesthetic, body-contouring, red light therapy, wellness, or laser hair removal services.
- Experience using a customer relationship management or practice-management system.
- Experience managing leads generated through digital advertising and social media campaigns.
- Experience working in a performance-based or commission-eligible sales position.
Training Requirements
The employee must complete all required Corrections training before independently conducting sales consultations, including:
- Corrections new-hire orientation.
- Approved service, package, membership, and pricing education.
- Consultation and sales-process training.
- Lead-management and follow-up procedures.
- Practice-management and documentation training.
- Client privacy and confidentiality requirements.
- Approved claims, communication boundaries, and escalation procedures.
- Policies regarding deposits, payments, discounts, refunds, and promotions.
- Required sales role-playing and competency validation.
- Ongoing coaching, service education, and sales training as assigned.
Physical Requirements
The employee must be able to:
- Perform computer, telephone, and administrative duties for extended periods.
- Sit, stand, walk, and move throughout the spa as needed.
- Communicate effectively with clients in person, by telephone, text, and email.
- Participate in consultations, events, tours, and promotional activities.
