Purchasing Manager - East Hampton MA - F/T Direct Placement - Competitive salary: $95,000–$120,000
We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to join our client's fabulous team in Easthampton, MA. This is a unique opportunity to work directly with our current Purchasing Director as part of a planned succession and knowledge-transfer process before his retirement.
The ideal candidate will bring strong procurement expertise, manufacturing experience, and a strategic mindset to support our continued growth.

Responsibilities:

Develop and implement purchasing strategies for raw materials, chemicals, packaging, and MRO supplies
Source and qualify suppliers in collaboration with Manufacturing, R&D, and Product Development teams

Desired Background/Skills:

Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of purchasing, procurement, or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong negotiation and contract management skills
Experience with ERP/MRP systems
Knowledge of raw material markets including films, resins, rubber, acrylics, silicones, solvents, and packaging materials
Experience in tape, adhesive, coatings, chemical, or converting industries
Previous leadership or procurement team management experience
Familiarity with global sourcing and import/export regulations
Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement experience
