Catering Sales & Business Development Coordinator

Location: Canonsburg / Southpointe, PA (Local travel required)

Job Type: Part-Time (20–25 hours/week to start, with a clear path to Full-Time)

Pay: $18–$20/hour + Performance Bonuses + Catering Tip Share + Mileage Reimbursement

Overview

Are you a natural networker who loves turning cold introductions into lasting business relationships? Southpointe Catering is looking for a driven, outgoing Catering Sales & Business Development Coordinator to grow our corporate and event catering business across Canonsburg, Southpointe, and surrounding communities. In this dynamic, hybrid role (20–25 hours/week to start with a clear path to full-time), you’ll split your time between building relationships out in the local business community, managing key accounts, and supporting high-profile catering orders. What You'll Do

New Business Development (45%): Proactively identify, cold-call, and visit corporate offices, medical practices, law firms, and local venues across Southpointe and surrounding communities to establish new catering accounts.
Existing Account Growth (40%): Build long-term relationships with office managers and event planners, conduct post-order follow-ups, re-engage inactive accounts, and convert one-time buyers into repeat, scheduled clients.
Catering & Operational Support (15%): Work alongside our kitchen team to enter and process orders accurately, communicate dietary requests, and occasionally assist with high-priority setups or deliveries.

What We're Looking For

Sales Mindset: Outgoing, persistent without being pushy, confident making cold visits, and comfortable asking for the business.
Driven & Accountable: Naturally motivated by measurable targets, comfortable working independently, and willing to take ownership when challenges arise.
Organized Communicator: Excellent at tracking client interactions, following through on promises, and managing multiple order details simultaneously.
Background: Sales, business development, customer service, or account management experience is strongly preferred. Prior restaurant experience is a plus, but the right drive and personality matter most.

Schedule, Territory & Requirements

Territory: Southpointe, Canonsburg, McMurray, Peters Township, and immediate surrounding areas.
Split Time: A balanced mix of time on-site at the restaurant and out in the local business community.
Requirements: A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle (mileage for approved business travel will be reimbursed).
