Reports to: Facilities Manager
Position Summary:
The Custodian is responsible for maintaining a safe and clean workplace by performing janitorial duties within all safety, sanitary, and good house-keeping guidelines. This role works Monday-Thursday, 9 pm-7 am at the Lane Drive facility.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
The position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Empty and clean all wastebaskets, trash containers, breakrooms, and employee restrooms within assigned areas.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors daily.
- Wash walls daily or as needed.
- Wash windows as needed.
- Re-supply all dispensers in the lunchroom, all offices, all restrooms, hallways, and conference rooms daily.
- Partake in overall housekeeping, including cleaning, organizing, dusting, sweeping, etc.
- Notify maintenance of mechanical problems, malfunctions, or needed repairs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience/Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED, required.
Skills & Abilities:
- Ability to work in extreme weather conditions.
- Ability to effectively communicate with leadership, managers, leads, and peers.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and other job-related equipment and software.
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
- Willing to participate in Company designated training.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision/guidance.
- Must have knowledge of and comply with the policies and procedures contained in the company handbook.
- Must be able to practice safe work habits.
Physical Demands:
This is a General Warehouse/Facilities position that requires sitting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and use of hands continuously for eight hours. This position requires lifting/moving up to 50 pounds and occasionally with assistance lifting/moving up to 100 pounds. This position requires extended amounts of time walking and climbing stairs. This position requires frequent work time beyond an eight-hour shift/40-hour week including shift rotation and weekends. This position requires the operation of basic office equipment.
