Full Job Description

Nonesuch River Brewing's Poland Location is hiring people to work a combination of Host and Server shifts. Our restaurant is located right off Route 26 on Middle Range Pond with a boat marina, dining room, and full bar. Summertime expands seating outside by the lake!

You will play a critical role in providing an exceptional dining experience by delivering outstanding service, from greeting guests, guiding them through our services and menu, and maintaining a warm and welcoming atmosphere. As part of the Front Of House (FOH) team, you will work collaboratively with service managers and kitchen staff to ensure efficient service and guest satisfaction.

This fast-paced, multi-level restaurant requires stamina, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. You must be able to navigate a dynamic environment while maintaining professionalism and enthusiasm. This position requires menu knowledge, excellent hospitality skills, and the ability to multi-task while handling guest needs efficiently. You may also be required to assist with private events and functions, ensuring smooth execution of special gatherings while maintaining high service standards. Additionally, they play a key role in enhancing profitability by optimizing table turnover, upselling food and beverage items, and anticipating guest needs to maximize sales and satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS

Prior FOH experience preferred, but not required.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
Knowledge of or willingness to learn about craft beer, food pairings, and menu offerings.
Ability or willingness to learn the carrying of trays of food and drinks safely.
Basic math skills for handling transactions and making change.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

KEY NOTES

Will support teammates by jumping into various roles when needed, such as bussing or barbacking.
Potential to assist in training new team members, fostering a positive and team-oriented work environment.
Requires following all food safety and sanitation guidelines, alcohol service laws, and compliance with restaurant policies and health department regulations.
Will report any safety hazards, spills or maintenance issues to management immediately.
Requires standing and walking continuously for up to 8-12 hours per shift on hard surfaces.
Will regularly be lifting and transporting up to 35 pounds of trays, dishes, glassware, supplies and kegs.
