About the Role:

The Clam Opener plays a crucial role in seafood processing by efficiently and safely opening clams to prepare them for further processing or sale. This position requires attention to detail to ensure that the clams are opened without damaging the meat inside, maintaining product quality and safety standards. The role involves working in a fast-paced environment where productivity and precision are essential to meet daily processing targets. The Clam Opener will collaborate closely with other team members to maintain a smooth workflow and uphold hygiene and safety protocols. Ultimately, this position contributes significantly to delivering high-quality seafood products to customers and supporting the overall success of the seafood processing operation.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ability to perform manual tasks requiring dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive motions.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience in seafood processing or a similar food production environment.
Familiarity with seafood species and quality standards.
Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards related to food processing.
Ability to operate basic processing equipment safely.
Strong communication skills to report issues and collaborate with team members.

Responsibilities:
