The Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority is seeking one (1) highly organized individual to be our new Front Desk Receptionist. This role is the first impression and ambassador for the Airport Authority. Under general direction, the Receptionist performs a wide variety of administrative and operational support functions to the People Operations department. The Receptionist also provides assistance to internal and external customers related to airport services, ranging from moderately difficult to complex; and performs general andministrative and clerical support services to the organization.

Primary Responsibilities/Essential Duties
- Provide high quality customer service and front-line assistance to internal and external customers, whether in-person, over the phone, or through written correspondence.

Greet, receive and screen visitors; respond to requests for information by providing general information and handling issues with professionalism, appropriate sensitivity, and sound judgment.

Assist in providing visitors appropriate hospitality, such as validating parking, and providing directions or general information.

Perform general clerical functions to support the organization, including but not limited to:
- receiving, screening, and appropriately directing written correspondence and telephone calls;

responding to email and applicable website inquiries regarding airport related topics within a reasonable timeframe;

assisting, as needed, with organizing, tracking, and processing the return of lost and found items;

Support the People Operations department with various tasks as assigned, including but not limited to:
- ordering office supplies and employee recognition related items;

providing support for coordination of special events, trainings, projects and activities;

assisting with recruitment, screening, and new hire related tasks;
-
Fosters employee relations as established by the Airport Authority.

Adhere to and uphold all values, rules, policies, and procedures adopted by the RTAA (e.g. THRIVE, dress code, harassment, discrimination, hostile work environment, etc.).

Represent and conduct self in a professional manner.

Maintain and support a high level of customer service to peers, partners and passengers.

This position may be deemed to be essential personnel as part of RTAA's Emergency Response Team and may be required to respond to airport incidents as requested/required.

Note: While RTAA does have a flexible work arrangement policy, the expectation is that the person selected for this role will work on site.
Entry Salary
$22.91 - $29.11 hourly based on experience, with opportunity for annual step-based increases up to a maximum of $32.80. Initial salary placement will be based upon experience and qualifications. This is an hourly position and is eligible for overtime.

Minimum Qualifications
Required Education / Experience
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Three (3) years of full-time administrative experience in a formal business environment, which must include direct public contact and customer service.
Preferred (but not required) experience or capabilities
- Experience in human resources is highly preferred.
Required Licensing and/or Certifications
- Must possess a valid Driver's License with authority to drive an RTAA vehicle for the duration of appointment.
- Ability to obtain and maintain eligibility to hold a Security Identification Display Area (SIDA) badge.
Physical Requirements
Ability to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time, reach, bend, climb, lift, push, and pull items.
Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Must have the ability to lift and transport small carry parcels, packages, and other items, and to traverse short distances.
