Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive team member to support our growing Company. This role will be responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll processing, sales tax, payroll taxes, and general ledger maintenance. The ideal candidate will also play a key role in streamlining AP and AR processes and collaborating with branch locations to improve workflow efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) functions, including invoice processing, payment applications, and customer/vendor reconciliations
Process and enter payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
Prepare and file sales tax and payroll tax reports
Reconcile credit card transactions and payables accounts on a regular basis
Assist in streamlining and improving current AP and AR processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
Collaborate with branch locations to create a smooth and standardized accounting workflow
Prepare financial reports and assist with month-end and year-end close activities
Maintain and update general ledger (GL) codes and ensure proper account classification
Participate in monthly meetings with outside accounting and auditing teams
Support audits and provide documentation as needed
Perform additional accounting duties as assigned

Qualifications

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
3-5+ years of experience in a bookkeeping role (AP/AR and payroll experience preferred)
Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, payroll, and tax compliance
Experience with accounting software and payroll systems
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently and collaborate across departments and locations
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
Experience working with multi-location or branch-based organizations
Prior experience improving or streamlining accounting processes
Familiarity with sales tax filings across multiple jurisdictions
