Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Executive Chef to lead our culinary team and elevate the dining experience to new heights. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your culinary expertise, oversee all kitchen operations, and ensure the highest standards of food quality, safety, and presentation. As an energetic leader, you will inspire your team, manage diverse food service environments, and drive innovation in menu development while maintaining strict adherence to food safety protocols. Your dedication will directly impact our guests’ satisfaction and uphold our reputation for excellence in hospitality. We offer our Executive chef paid time off (2 weeks of vacation to start), health insurance, and a generous profit-sharing program.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise all kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive team environment through effective leadership and mentorship.
Oversee menu planning and development, ensuring a diverse selection that meets guest preferences and dietary requirements.
Manage food production processes, including food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation to ensure consistency and quality.
Maintain rigorous food safety sanitizing procedures, ensuring compliance with health regulations and industry standards.
Control inventory levels through accurate inventory management and control practices, minimizing waste while ensuring ingredient availability.
Coordinate catering events, banquets, and special functions with precision, delivering exceptional service that exceeds expectations.
Oversee shift management, including scheduling staff, monitoring performance, and ensuring smooth operations during busy periods.
Implement cost control measures to optimize food costs without compromising quality or guest satisfaction.
Ensure the kitchen operates efficiently by managing food handling procedures, sanitation standards, and safety protocols.
Collaborate with management on restaurant operations, including service flow, customer feedback, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Proven experience in fine dining environments with a strong background in restaurant management or culinary leadership roles.
Extensive banquet experience combined with catering expertise to handle large-scale events confidently.
Supervising experience in a fast-paced kitchen setting with a focus on team management and training.
Knowledge of dietary department practices and experience managing specialized menus for various dietary needs.
Strong skills in food production, menu planning, inventory control, and cost management within the food industry.
Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while maintaining high standards of food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling practices.
Excellent cooking skills complemented by comprehensive kitchen management expertise.
Familiarity with food service management systems and inventory management tools.
Ability to thrive under pressure in a hospitality setting while delivering exceptional service experiences.
