Full Job Description

Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as an Occupational Therapist in a contract role near Columbus, NC. This position is designed for those passionate about making a difference in the educational journey of young learners. You'll primarily serve a Pre-K caseload, traveling between multiple school sites and providing crucial therapy services that foster growth, independence, and classroom participation.

This assignment features an initial 12-week term with the potential for extension, allowing for both short-term impact and longer-term connections. With a manageable caseload of 33 students, and a commitment of just 1-2 days per week, you’ll be able to focus your expertise where it matters most, while enjoying the flexibility to balance other professional or personal interests.

Qualifications & Experience:

Valid state licensure as an Occupational Therapist
Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
Comfortable working with Pre-K age group
Ability to travel between multiple nearby school sites (itinerant)
Organized, flexible, and self-motivated
Strong communication and collaboration skills
No virtual/remote (VOCO) therapy; on-site presence required

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct occupational therapy assessments and develop individualized intervention plans
Deliver direct and consultative services to Pre-K students, focusing on enhancing participation and independence
Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with district standards
Travel among assigned school sites as needed to serve caseload
