Full Job Description

Cat Sitters of Houston is looking for reliable and caring individuals to join our team as Overnight Cat Sitters.

In this role, you'll stay overnight in clients' homes and provide attentive care for their cats while they're away. You'll help maintain their normal routines, provide companionship, and make sure they are safe, comfortable, and well cared for throughout the stay.

This position is ideal for someone who genuinely enjoys cats, is responsible and dependable, and is comfortable working independently in clients' homes.

Responsibilities

Stay overnight in clients' homes while caring for their cats
Feed cats and provide fresh water according to their care instructions
Clean litter boxes and maintain clean pet areas
Provide playtime, companionship, and attention based on each cat's routine
Administer medications when required and as instructed by the client
Provide basic care for cats with special needs when qualified to do so
Monitor cats and report any unusual behavior or concerns
Send photos, updates, and care notes to clients through our mobile app
Follow detailed instructions regarding each cat's routine, feeding, medication, and care
Leave the home and pet areas clean and orderly at the end of each assignment

Qualifications

Must be at least 21 years old
At least 2 years of experience caring for cats
Comfortable staying overnight in clients' homes
Reliable and able to commit to scheduled assignments
Available for weekend and holiday assignments when needed
Experience administering cat medications is a plus
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Able to pass a background check
Comfortable using a smartphone and mobile app for communication and visit updates
Able to follow detailed instructions and work independently
Professional, trustworthy, and attentive to detail
