Full Job Description

Candidate must perform 2D/Doppler Echocardiograms and Vascular exams (procedures include but are not limited to Carotid Doppler, Arterial Doppler (upper & lower extremities), ABI, Venous Doppler (upper & lower extremities). Other duties may be assigned by supervisor.
Must have excellent knowledge of anatomy and pathology for the exams performed.
Adequately explain the test to the patient and provide quality patient care.
Maintains and ensures equipment is in safe & efficient operating condition.
Knowledge of transferring images to digital image storage system (PACS)

· Knowledge of obtaining necessary patient care data and exam order from the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

Must adhere to the protocols and actively participate in the departmental QA program and accreditation process as necessary.
Maintain CME’s, CPR, and registries necessary to perform job duties as a registered sonographer.
Maintain accurate records, reports, and files, as per the requirements.
Follows HIPAA policies and procedures. Respects and maintains patient confidentiality.
Adheres to the company’s mission statement and core values.

· Demonstrate proficiency in the use and location of supplies and manage High-Level Disinfection (HLD) procedures and documentation. Must follow protocol for disinfecting and cleaning of equipment and work area.

· Communicate pertinent clinical information and ultrasound findings to the radiologist, the patient’s nurse/Physician as appropriate.

Maintain work areas in compliance with the client’s standards.

· Must be able to scan and document accurately and organize work efficiently.

· Ability to be self-directed and to work independently with minimal direct supervision.

· Must provide documentation of personal and professional credentials per company, client facilities and or State requirements.

· Must have a current BLS/CPR.

· Must pass a complete background check.

· Candidate must have reliable transportation and be willing to drive to multiple locations within the assigned area in the Houston region.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday
On call (any days as available)
Saturday & Sunday (available)

Experience:

Ultrasound medical imaging: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

RCS (CCI), RVS (CCI) Preferred
ARDMS (RDCS), RVT Preferred

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $4,000.00 - $6,000.00 per month
