Full Job Description

Job Summary

We are a family-owned, primarily commercial HVAC company. We are seeking a bookkeeper experienced in QuickBooks Desktop. This is a vital requirement. Knowledge in AIA documents and general day-to-day bookkeeping is also required.

Responsibilities

Process payroll accurately and timely, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and standards.
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions to ensure timely payments and collections.
Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or errors and resolve issues promptly.
Support budgeting processes by providing accurate financial data and insights for decision-making.
Ensure adherence to accounting standards and maintain proper documentation for audits or internal reviews.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with a strong understanding of accounting principles such as double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and journal entries.
Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks (Desktop) and financial software tools like Spreadsheets.
Experience with payroll processing, accounts payable/receivable management and general ledger accounting.
Familiarity with GAAP standards and technical accounting concepts related to account analysis.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
Excellent communication skills for preparing financial reports and collaborating across teams.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
