SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY TO POSITION
1. Assist in completing the following documentation: Admission Note, Nursing Assessment, Pre-Screen Testing
2. Performs Psychiatric Evaluations for clients.
3. Transcribes Physician’s Orders and Implements all Medical Protocols as ordered, if assigned.
4. Confers with and assists the Medical Doctor and/or Psychiatrist and Clinical Director.
5. Makes appropriate referrals using referral forms.
6. Attends and participate in all “in-service” functions.
7. Assists with emergency situations and makes immediate referrals.
8. Provides documentation which reflects services for each client in accordance with licensure standards.
9. Maintains the Confidential nature of all clients and facility activities.
10. Maintains required Training and Continuing Education.
11. Maintains Standards of Ethical Conduct.
12. Complies with all Rockland Treatment Center, Policies and Procedures.
13. Performs any other tasks outlined in accordance with 65D – 65E.
14. Meets with clients requesting to see the doctor to determine the urgency of their medical needs and expedite treatment as required.
15. Effectively communicates concerns about client psychiatric and medical to the Clinical Director and follows up as necessary.
16. Under the supervision of the Clinical Director, assists in educating clients about health problems, medical care and psychiatric care.
17. Facilitates medication education for new clients and for all other clients starting new medications.
18. Meets with therapists to provide information about client medical problems, if appropriate and when needed.
19. Assists the treatment team in incorporating medical issues into treatment planning.
20. Takes verbal direction from the MD and Clinical Director, documents them in the client record, and carries them out accurately and professionally.
21. Provides routine nursing care under the supervision of the Medical Doctor.
22. Participates in regular meetings with Clinical Director to discuss specific client challenges/concerns.
23. Participate in regular department meetings and staff meetings.
24. Encourages efficient utilization of supplies and equipment to prevent waste.
25. Maintains effective communication between outside medical services and the facility.
26. Keeps and shares records and equipment.
27. Attends in-service education programs as assigned to learn new forms, procedures, developmental skills.
28. Has good work habits; gets things done in a timely, efficient manner with no excessive absences, is on time for scheduled shifts, and is prepared to begin work.
29. Functions as a team member and contributes positively to the morale of staff.
30. Performs additional duties, as deemed necessary, by Clinical Director.
31. Maintains up to date training in CPR, First Aid, Infection Control, Fire Safety, and other areas mandated by organizational policies.
32. Communicates effectively with other staff members and demonstrates the ability to work as a team.
33. Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability, responding positively to changing situations in the work setting.
34. Demonstrates objectivity and maturity under stress.
35. Accepts and utilizes supervision.
36. Addresses problems noted by Clinical Director.
37. Performs other assignments as requested by Clinical Director.

39. Completes all tasks with concern for work quality.
40. Developing Policies and Procedures as appropriate.
41. Oversee the Infection Control Plan.
42. Oversee Infection Control surveillance.
43. Provide ongoing education and training to clients and staff in Infection Control.
44. Completes Health Screens and Nursing Screens documenting in EHR each visit.
45. Sees clients for Medication Management weekly and as requested.
46. Facilitates educational health and psychiatric groups ie. HIV/Aids education, Medication Management, Self-Care, COVID and other groups as assigned by Clinical Director.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
