Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding and fabrication, with hands-on experience in various welding techniques and construction environments. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively on construction projects.

Responsibilities

Perform MIG, TIG, and FCAW welding on various materials including sheet metal and pipe.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and machinery such as ironworks, saws, and plasma cutters for fabrication tasks.
Assemble components according to specifications while ensuring compliance with ASME codes & standards.
Conduct rigging operations safely and efficiently for material handling.
Measure and cut materials using tape measure and basic math skills to ensure accuracy.
Collaborate with team members on shop tasks while maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Operate forklifts as needed for transporting materials around the shop.

Qualifications

Proven experience in welding and fabrication within a construction or manufacturing setting.
Familiarity with various welding processes including MIG, FCAW.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively.
Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments such as calipers.
Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding and construction sites.
