Full Job Description

Do you like preparing food and interacting with children each day? The Primrose School of Spring Hill is looking for an energetic, positive, self starter to fill our Preschool Chef position.

Position offers great hours (6:50 am to 3:45 pm), paid time off, benefit options, strong leadership team, and positive work environment.

Qualifications:

Ability to relate positively to young children is essential
Previous experience in quality food preparation is required.

Responsibilities:

Follows the daily menu prepared following the Primrose guidelines.
Follows portion control standards for lunch and snacks in preparations.
Is adaptable and implements changes in menus, if instructed to do so.
Demonstrates the ability to meet schedules, i.e. sees that each meal is ready to be served when scheduled.
Orders food and is able to calculate the amount needed.
Maintains an orderly, clean and safe kitchen area at all times, including the proper maintenance of equipment.
Meets basic requirements of all applicable regulatory agencies, including age requirements.
Maintains the Primrose School's professional attitude and work behavior.
Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions as determined by the Director.
Observes all rules and regulations of Primrose Schools and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children.
Assists in other capacities as determined by the Director
Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.
