Full Job Description

CNC Machinist

Job Summary:

The CNC Machinist has a vital role in ensuring precision and efficiency in machining operations and supporting our mission to deliver high-quality products to our customers. This position involves setting up and operating CNC machines, performing in-process inspections, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

Operate and set up CNC machines, including those with Fanuc, Haas, and Mitsubishi controls.
Perform setups involving chuck changing, collet changing, tool arrangements, and tool touch-offs.
Read and interpret blueprints, travelers, sketches, and related technical data, including GD&T tolerances.
Conduct first-article and in-process inspections, accurately document inspection data, and maintain precise part counts.
Adjust machine speeds and feeds for turning and milling operations to ensure optimal performance.
Perform daily machine maintenance, including maintaining fluid levels and recognizing and replacing worn cutters and tool bits.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to safety protocols.

Qualifications and Experience:

Preferred 3 years’ experience in CNC setup and operations.
Proficiency with machine shop mathematics, calculations, and measuring tools.
Familiarity with GD&T tolerances and ability to interpret technical drawings.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Self-starter with excellent communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to safety and maintaining a professional workspace.
