Full Job Description

Position Summary

The Clinical Supervisor provides clinical oversight, supervision, and program coordination within the Juvenile Office Outpatient Clinical Services Program. This position supervises assigned clinicians, supports the development of clinical interns, and ensures high-quality, evidence-based services are delivered to justice-involved youth and their families. The Clinical Supervisor will also assist with providing youth and families trauma-informed, evidence-based assessment, individual, family and group therapy.

The Clinical Supervisor plays a key role in maintaining clinical integrity, supporting staff development, and ensuring efficient service delivery in alignment with juvenile court expectations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

Clinical Supervision & Staff Support

Provide direct supervision to two clinicians and program manager
Support case conceptualization, treatment planning and service delivery
Monitor clinician caseloads and productivity
Review and approve clinical documentation requirements
Provide coaching, feedback, and professional development support
Assist with crisis consultation and high-risk case review

Clinical Services

· Provide outpatient behavioral health services, including individual, group, and family therapy, utilizing evidence-based and trauma-informed approaches.

· Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments, including biopsychosocial evaluations, risk/needs assessments, and treatment planning.

· Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals aligned with court involvement and family needs.

· Provide crisis intervention and stabilization services as needed.

· Facilitate psychoeducational and therapeutic groups targeting areas such as emotional regulation, substance use, family dynamics, and pro-social skill development.

Clinical Intern Support and Development

Assist with onboarding and orientation of clinical interns
Provide secondary supervision and mentorship to interns
Support interns in case assignments, group co-facilitation and documentation practices

· Coordinate with licensed supervisors to ensure compliance with academic requirements

· Participate in intern evaluations and performance feedback

Program Coordination

Assist in managing daily clinical operations
Coordinate clinician schedules, group programming, and service delivery
Collaborate with Case Manager on referrals, intake flow, and caseload assignment
Support development and implementation of clinical groups and psychoeducation services
Ensure efficient use of staff and program resources

Quality Assurance & Documentation Oversight

Review clinical documentation for accuracy, timeliness, and compliance

· Support audit readiness and documentation tracking

· Assist with outcome monitoring and data collection

Collaboration and Communication

Collaborate with deputy juvenile officers, courts staff, clinical team members, peer recovery specialists and community partners/agencies

· Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case staffings

· Provide appropriate progress updates

· Support communication between clinical and court operations

Program Development and Support

Assist in developing new groups and services
Support implementation of evidence-based practices
Participate in staff training and program implementation initiatives
Contribute to grant-related activities and reporting as needed
Work closely with the Clinical supervisor and Director of the Clinical Unit to strengthen collaboration between court operations, clinical services, and peer programming.
Promote culturally responsive, equitable, and strengths-based service delivery.

Minimum Training and Experience Required to Perform Essential Job Functions

· Master’s degree in Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology.

· Must be a Missouri State Licensed Professional Counselor, Missouri State Provisionally Licensed Counselor, Missouri State Provisionally Licensed Social Worker or Missouri State Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

· Two years of Juvenile Justice System case management/clinical experience preferred.

· Demonstrated history of collaboration and leading with initiative.

· Two years of increasing responsibility in management, excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact comfortably with court personnel for the daily care of detained juveniles are necessary.

· Knowledge of community mental health resources and familiarity with the state of Missouri Medicaid system is important.

· Proficiency with computers and applicable software programs a must. A valid Missouri Motor Vehicle Operator’s license is required.
