Full Job Description

Role:
Assists members and potential members with their needs, opens new accounts, processes account transactions
(teller work), resolves problems, and provides assistance and information regarding products and services.
Proactively promotes new and existing products/services. Enthusiastically greets and assists members.

Assists credit union, branch, and staff in numerous areas such as answering phones, completing back office / clerical work, and other duties as assigned.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Provides a convenient experience for members and employees.

-Assists members with transactions (teller duties), information, account services, and establishes new accounts.

- Performs a variety of tasks including answering member phone calls/chat, completing back office / clerical work, and card services. Performs other duties as assigned.

- Provides overrides and acts as a vault teller as needed.

-Comply with job related regulatory requirements including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, USA Patriot Act, OFAC and Fair Lending Regulations.

Knowledge and Skills:
Experience Prefer two years of similar or related experience.

Education A high school education with a preference of some college.

Clear and professional communication – able to explain financial products and processes in a way members understand.
Active listening – attentively understanding member needs and concerns before offering solutions.
Customer service mindset – creating a welcoming, positive experience for every member.
Conflict resolution – calmly and professionally addressing member or team concerns.

Other Skills Ability to acquire and maintain working knowledge of regulations relating to all Credit Union service and products.

Highly efficient using current technology.

Ability to thrive and promote a changing environment.

Physical Requirements, being able to stand or sit for extended periods of time. Ability to lift 20 pounds.

Work Environment Ability to work in an office environment whether sitting or standing for long periods of time. Ability to assist in functions in an outdoor environment. Reliable transportation is needed to and from work. Ability to work weekends.
