Dr. Venable is a chiropractic neurologist and is seeking to add a new member to Team Temple as he practices an approach to management call compassionate leadership. Entrusting Dr. Venable's vision for the practice, Dr. Vernon Temple has announced his intention to formally retire from practice on October 1st of this year. Therefore, the office is undergoing a transition in hours of operation and is in need additional supportive staff.
Temple Chiropractic is seeking an additional dedicated and detail-oriented Office Assistant to join our team. This position is initially temporary to provide coverage for an employee on medical leave but will transition into a part-time position of, at least, a half day per week with a need for flexible per diem coverage to either fellow assistants or the front desk position on occasion; due to sickness, vacations or other obligations of team members.
The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, enjoys cleaning/maintaining a presentable space, doesn't mind getting plenty of steps in the day with moments of rest and the ability to adapt to a potentially fast-paced environment. This position is essential for ensuring a smooth operation within our office, providing support to administrative staff, and maintaining a welcoming environment for patients, clients and visitors. This person will mostly take on the task of maintaining the office space and patient flow throughout the course of the day, while aiding both the office manager and practicing doctor.
Potential Duties
- Support the management of front desk operations, including greeting patient/patrons and answering phone systems.
- Perform clerical tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence.
- Assist with scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars for staff.
- Provide administrative support to doctors as needed.
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized and sanitary office space.
- Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary.
- Support the office manager with patient records while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Utilize computerized systems for record keeping and documentation.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure effective communication and workflow.
- Medical billing assistance (potentially, if staying long-term)
Requirements
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
- Familiarity with clerical duties and office management procedures.
- Proficiency in using computer software, including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Multi-lingual abilities are a plus, but no required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Previous experience in roles such as personal assistant or clerk or have worked in the medical field (preferred but nor required).
