Full Job Description

Caregiver / CNA — Small Assisted Living -Residential Home (Max 6 Residents) — [Springfield or Chatham]

Pay: $18.50-22.00 /hour, based on certification and experience
Shift: [3:00pm–11:00pm], [full-time / part-time]
Employer: Springfield Homes and Generational Care

About the home
We are a licensed Shared Housing Establishment providing non-medical residential support and ADL supervision in a private home setting. Six residents maximum. You are not running a hallway of 20 people — you know every resident by name and you have time to do the job right.

Must-haves (please only apply if you meet these)

CNA certification in good standing on the Illinois Health Care Worker Registry, OR documented direct support/caregiving experience
Able to pass an Illinois criminal background check per state requirements
Reliable transportation and consistent attendance — small homes depend on the shift showing up
Able to read, follow, and document on written care records
Able to assist with transfers and physical ADL tasks

Nice-to-have

Prior experience in a small residential or assisted living setting
Availability for occasional weekend coverage

What you'll do

Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility
Supervise self-administration of medications and document accurately
Prepare meals, do light housekeeping and laundry
Provide supervision, companionship, and engagement
Complete shift documentation before you clock out
Report changes in a resident's condition to management immediately
