We are looking for a professional and engaging individual with a strong understanding of general administrative responsibilities and medical insurance processes, including insurance verification, authorizations, claims management, and reconciliation. Previous experience working with medical insurance is required.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Performing general administrative and front office duties.
Verifying medical insurance benefits and eligibility.
Obtaining and managing insurance authorizations as needed.
Managing, reviewing, and reconciling insurance claims.
Applying insurance payments, adjustments, and other account activity accurately.
Checking patients in and out and providing a welcoming, professional experience.
Answering and directing telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner.
Scheduling and coordinating patient appointments.
Communicating with patients regarding scheduling, insurance, and other administrative matters.
Working efficiently across multiple software platforms and computer systems.
Handling time-sensitive requests while managing multiple priorities.
Assisting with special projects and other administrative needs as they arise.
Maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA and practice policies.
Supporting the overall efficiency and organization of the practice.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of relevant administrative, healthcare, or customer service experience.
Experience with insurance authorizations, claims, payments, and/or related billing processes.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with an electronic medical record (EMR) system.
Experience in aesthetics, dermatology, plastic surgery, or a similar medical specialty.
Familiarity with medical practice workflows, patient scheduling, and insurance processes.

The successful candidate will:

Have previous medical insurance experience and a strong understanding of insurance processes.
Be highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Be confident and comfortable interacting with patients in person and by phone.
Be comfortable learning and navigating multiple software platforms.
Be dependable, punctual, and able to meet deadlines and time-sensitive demands.
Maintain professionalism and a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Be able to multitask effectively while maintaining accuracy.
Take initiative and be able to self-manage while also working collaboratively as part of a team.

Demonstrate sound judgment, discretion, and respect for patient confidentiality.
