Karlsburger Foods is seeking a full time WAREHOUSE & LOGISTICS MANAGER. This role will work at our Maple Lake location with responsibility for multiple company locations including Monticello, MN and report directly to the Vice President of Operations
Salary Range
$100,000 – $130,000
Position Summary
The Warehouse & Logistics Manager is responsible for leading all warehouse, inventory, receiving, internal logistics, and distribution operations across Karlsburger Foods' manufacturing facilities.
This position owns the movement, storage, accuracy, and visibility of all raw materials, packaging, work-in-process, and finished goods from receipt through customer shipment.
The ideal candidate is both a strategic systems thinker and a hands-on operational leader who can build scalable warehouse processes while leading day-to-day execution. This individual will play a critical role in advancing and optimizing the company's Warehouse Management System (WMS), improving inventory accuracy, supporting production flow, and enabling future company growth.
Primary Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Lead warehouse operations across multiple manufacturing facilities.
- Manage all receiving, storage, inventory, shipping, and internal logistics activities.
- Ensure safe, organized, and efficient warehouse operations.
- Optimize warehouse layout, slotting, storage utilization, and material flow.
- Develop scalable warehouse processes that support future growth.
Inventory Management
Own company-wide inventory accuracy by:
- Maintaining inventory accuracy targets of greater than 99.5%.
- Leading cycle count programs.
- Driving root cause analysis of inventory discrepancies.
- Reducing inventory adjustments.
- Improving lot traceability.
- Ensuring FIFO/FEFO compliance.
- Maintaining inventory integrity across all facilities.
Warehouse Management System (WMS)
Serve as the business owner of the Warehouse Management System by:
- Leading WMS advancement.
- Developing warehouse workflows.
- Designing warehouse locations and bin structures.
- Optimizing barcode scanning processes.
- Developing standard operating procedures.
- Training warehouse personnel.
- Identifying future automation opportunities.
- Driving continuous improvement through system utilization.
Receiving Operations
Oversee all inbound materials including:
- Raw ingredients.
- Packaging materials.
- Maintenance supplies.
- Vendor deliveries.
Ensure:
- Accurate receiving.
- Proper documentation.
- Timely put-away.
- Inspection coordination.
- Inventory visibility.
Inter-Site Logistics
Own all transfers between manufacturing facilities including:
- Raw material transfers.
- Work-in-process movement.
- Finished goods transfers.
- Warehouse replenishment.
Develop standardized transportation and documentation processes while maintaining complete inventory traceability.
Shipping & Distribution
Lead outbound logistics by:
- Ensuring on-time customer shipments.
- Coordinating carrier relationships.
- Managing warehouse labor to meet shipping schedules.
- Supporting customer service through accurate order fulfillment.
- Monitoring freight performance metrics.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent operational experience.
- Seven or more years of warehouse leadership experience.
- Multi-site warehouse leadership experience.
- Experience implementing or significantly optimizing a Warehouse Management System.
- Strong inventory management background.
- Leadership experience managing supervisors and warehouse teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
Preferred
- Food manufacturing experience.
- Experience in an SQF, FDA, or USDA regulated environment.
- Experience with barcode scanning systems.
- ERP integration experience.
- Lean Manufacturing experience.
- Continuous Improvement training.
- APICS or ASCM certification.
- Experience supporting high-growth organizations.
Pay: $100,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
