Position Overview

We are currently seeking a CNC Programmer to join our team at our manufacturing facility located in St. Louis, Missouri, just north of Arnold.

Schedule: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday – Friday, OT opportunities available
Pay: $35-$42 per hour (compensation is based on experience, skills, and qualifications)

Your Impact

As a CNC Programmer, you'll be a key contributor to our manufacturing success. Your expertise will help transform customer requirements into efficient machining processes that deliver complex, high-precision components for the aerospace and defense industry.

By collaborating with machinists, engineering, quality, and production teams, you'll drive continuous improvement, support operational excellence, and help deliver the quality and reliability our customers depend on.

Key Responsibilities

Create CNC programs for milling and multi-axis machining operations using NX CAM (we will train if you have other CAM programming experience)
Review engineering drawings, models, specifications, and customer requirements to determine manufacturing methods.
Develop machining strategies for roughing, finishing, drilling, tapping, and multi-axis operations
Generate setup sheets, tooling lists, work instructions, and supporting documentation.
Select appropriate tooling, cutting parameters, and work holding methods.
Collaborate with machinists, quality personnel, and production leadership to support new job launches and process improvements.
Troubleshoot machining issues and revise programs as needed to improve quality, cycle time, and tool life.
Support machine prove-outs and first article inspections.
Ensure programs meet customer, quality, and internal manufacturing requirements.
Maintain revision control and organization of CNC programs and manufacturing documentation.
Continuously seek opportunities to improve efficiency, consistency, and manufacturability.

Required Qualifications

At least 3 years of CNC Programming experience with strong proficiency in NX CAM, Mastercam, or similar
Experience programming 3-axis, 4-axis, and/or 5-axis machines

Preferred Qualifications

5 years of CNC Programming experience with strong proficiency in NX CAM, Mastercam, or similar
Aerospace or other high-precision manufacturing experience

Skills & Competencies

Excellent communication and teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across engineering, quality, production, and operations teams.
Strong understanding of programming, machine processes, tooling, fixturing, and cutting parameters
Detail-oriented approach with sound judgment, problem-solving ability, and a continuous improvement mindset.
Ability to develop efficient programs that improve cycle time, quality, repeatability, and manufacturability.
