Opportunity
Still Love the Fence Business... Just Looking for Something Different? Maybe you've spent years installing fence. Maybe you've led crews. Maybe you're ready to get off the production line every day—but you're not ready to leave the industry behind.
If you're the kind of person everyone calls when they have a tough installation question or need something fixed the right way, we'd like to talk.
Stand Strong Fencing is growing, and we're looking for an experienced fencing professional who can wear a lot of hats.
This isn't a desk job. It also isn't a full-time installation position. It's the perfect fit for someone who enjoys solving problems, helping crews succeed, and making sure every project leaves a happy customer behind.
Compensation & Benefits:
- $45,000–$50,000 annual salary
- Performance bonuses based on company profitability, production goals, quality, and efficiency
- Generous Paid Time Off
- Connecticut Paid Sick Leave
- Long-term career opportunity with a growing company
- Supportive, family-oriented work environment
What You'll Be Doing:
No two days will look exactly the same. Depending on the day, you may be:
- Measuring fence projects and verifying layouts before installation
- Reviewing takeoffs and material orders for accuracy
- Supporting subcontractor crews with technical questions
- Performing punch-list items and warranty work
- Completing smaller repair jobs that don't require a full installation crew
- Troubleshooting field challenges before they become expensive problems
- Conducting quality-control inspections
- Meeting with homeowners to answer questions and ensure customer satisfaction
- Working alongside ownership to improve efficiency and installation quality
This is a highly visible role where your experience will directly impact both our customers and our team.
Who We're Looking For:
We're searching for someone who has real-world fence experience.
You might be:
- A former crew leader
- A lead installer
- A foreman
- A service technician
- A small fence company owner
- Someone who's simply ready for less physical wear and tear while staying in the business
You'll Be Successful Here If You:
- Take pride in quality workmanship
- Enjoy solving problems
- Can communicate well with customers and crews
- Are organized and detail-oriented
- Can work independently without constant supervision
- Like helping younger installers improve their skills
Being bilingual (English/Spanish) is highly desirable and will help you communicate effectively with both customers and installation crews.
Requirements
- Several years of fence installation experience. Knowledge of wood, vinyl, aluminum, and chain-link fencing is a major plus.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to perform measurements and material takeoffs
- Comfortable using basic technology for scheduling, photos, and communication
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when needed
- Professional appearance and customer-first attitude
