Job Summary
The Technical Project Manager Level II plays a key role in improving coordination, planning, and delivery visibility across Product, Development, Infrastructure, and Implementation teams. This position is responsible for connecting cross-functional work, identifying risks and dependencies, strengthening project management practices, and providing leadership with greater visibility into priorities, capacity, client commitments, and delivery status.
The ideal candidate is an experienced project management professional who brings structure and consistency to an organization with evolving processes. This individual serves as a trusted partner and mentor to employees involved in project delivery without direct supervisory responsibility.
Working closely with functional leaders, the Technical Project Manager establishes shared planning and reporting practices that enhance collaboration and execution while supporting organizational growth and continuous improvement.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Cross-Functional Delivery
o Coordinate technical projects and initiatives across Product, Development, Infrastructure, and Implementation.
o Establish clear plans, milestones, ownership, dependencies, and delivery expectations.
o Identify risks, blockers, resource conflicts, and competing priorities.
o Facilitate project discussions, document decisions, and drive follow-through.
o Escalate delivery concerns in a timely and solution-focused manner.
o Ensure client commitments and technical dependencies are reflected in internal plans.
Portfolio and Delivery Visibility
o Maintain consolidated views of active projects, priorities, milestones, client commitments, and risks.
o Partner with functional leaders to improve visibility into capacity, workload, sequencing, and resource constraints.
o Support more consistent estimation, forecasting, and capacity-planning practices.
o Provide clear project dashboards, status updates, and executive-level reporting.
o Surface overcommitment, conflicting timelines, and delivery risks early.
Project Management Standards and Tools
o Assess current practices and identify opportunities to improve consistency and effectiveness.
o Develop practical standards, templates, reporting formats, escalation paths, and planning frameworks.
o Partner with existing project and delivery roles to support shared expectations across teams.
o Help shape the effective use of project management tools, including workflows, dashboards, project structures, and reporting.
o Introduce new practices through collaboration, focused pilots, and measurable improvements.
Client Commitments and Statements of Work (SOW) Tracking
o Maintain visibility into high-priority SOWs, contractual deliverables, milestones, dependencies, and risks.
o Partner with Product, Implementation, Development, and Infrastructure to translate client commitments into actionable plans.
o Identify potential delivery concerns and ensure appropriate escalation.
o Support consistent ownership and reporting without assuming direct management of every SOW or implementation project.
Peer Leadership
o Serve as a collaborative mentor to project coordinators.
o Share practical tools, experience, and lessons learned with team members involved in project delivery.
o Assist team members in following established project management processes and procedures.
o Build trust and influence through clarity, consistency, sound judgment, and follow-through.
o Coordinate organized, productive, and action-oriented meetings.
Required Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a technology-related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI-ACP, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or comparable project management certification required.
- 5+ years of experience managing technical, software, or SaaS projects across cross-functional teams.
- Experience tracking client deliverables, Statements of Work (SOWs), contractual commitments, and implementation projects.
- Experience serving as a project management mentor, methodology resource, or senior peer.
- Experience collaborating with geographically distributed or international development teams.
- Experience in SaaS, healthcare technology, human services technology, or another regulated software environment preferred.
Qualifications & Required Skills
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycles, release planning, dependencies, estimation, and delivery risk.
- Familiarity with Product, Development, Infrastructure, DevOps, Implementation, or similar teams.
- Proven ability to improve or standardize project management practices.
- Skilled in developing project plans, dashboards, templates, and reporting frameworks.
- Proficiency with Azure DevOps, Halo PSA, Moovila, or comparable project management platforms.
- Knowledge of portfolio reporting, capacity planning, or executive delivery visibility.
- Proficiency in the English language; fluency in Spanish a plus.

Pay: $50.00 - $56.00 per hour
