Full Job Description

Proudly serve those who served – America’s Veterans need you. The Wisconsin Veterans Home at Chippewa Falls is looking for a Receptionist to provide loving and quality care and service to our members living in our facility. We are proud of our 5-Star, Deficiency Free, Homelike Care Community.

Schedules Available:

Part-time, every other weekend

As a Receptionist at the Veterans Home you will:

Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, members, families, staff, and others entering or contacting the Veterans Home, providing a welcoming and professional experience.
Answer and direct incoming phone calls, respond to general inquiries, and connect callers with the appropriate staff or department.
Greet and assist guests and visitors, providing directions and information as needed.
Support member safety and facility security by monitoring entrances and exits, tracking visitors, and following established visitor and access procedures.
Maintain awareness of activity in the reception area and promptly communicate concerns or unusual activity to appropriate staff.
Perform light administrative duties, such as sorting and distributing mail, receiving deliveries, maintaining visitor records, and assisting with other basic clerical tasks as needed.

As the Receptionist you will possess:

Strong customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally and compassionately with members, families, visitors, staff, and the public.
Excellent verbal communication and telephone etiquette.
Strong attention to detail and awareness, particularly when monitoring visitors and activity at facility entrances and exits.
Basic computer and administrative skills with the ability to manage phone calls, visitor information, mail, and other routine front-desk responsibilities.
Ability to remain calm, professional, and organized while managing multiple requests or interruptions.
Previous receptionist, customer service, or administrative experience preferred.
