Staff Pharmacist – Full-Time

Whitaker Pharmacy | Mount Sterling, KY

Whitaker Pharmacy is seeking a full-time Staff Pharmacist to join our growing team in Mount Sterling, Kentucky. As a family-owned independent pharmacy serving our community since 2001, we pride ourselves on providing exceptional patient care, personalized service, and a supportive work environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for a pharmacist who enjoys building relationships with patients, working alongside experienced pharmacy professionals, and practicing in a high-volume community pharmacy setting.

Position Details

Full-time position
Compensation: $60–$65 per hour, based on experience
Monday–Friday: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM
1–2 Saturdays per month: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Work alongside another pharmacist, typically the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC)
Supported by experienced technicians and a well-staffed pharmacy team

Responsibilities

Accurately verify and dispense prescription medications
Provide exceptional patient counseling and medication education
Ensure compliance with all state and federal pharmacy regulations
Administer immunizations
Support non-sterile compounding services
Collaborate with pharmacists and technicians to maintain efficient workflow in a high-volume setting
Build strong relationships with patients and local healthcare providers
Promote a positive, patient-centered pharmacy experience

Qualifications

PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy
Active Kentucky Pharmacist license in good standing
Strong patient counseling and communication skills
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume community pharmacy
Immunization certification or willingness to obtain certification
Experience with PioneerRx pharmacy software is preferred but not required.
Commitment to providing outstanding patient care and customer service
