Advanced Technology Engineer

(APP) has been developing and manufacturing complex net-shape components using metal injection molding (MIM) and 3D metal printing technologies for the medical, industrial and defense industries. Our proprietary technologies, ProtoMIM® and Printalloy® position APP as the first choice for some of the largest original equipment manufacturers (OEM) in the country. We design, engineer and produce metal components that improve the performance of our clients’ medical devices, hand tools, defense, and sporting goods.

Job Characteristics:

Job Responsibilities:

Ability to work independently and drive implementation.
Ability to research, apply, and make manufacturable new technologies and methods from various sources (journal articles, internet, manuals, and books)
Ability to make unknown equipment operational with no previously known knowledge of technology.
Able to design tooling, fixtures, and part using solid modeling software
Ability to operate vertical and CNC mills, surface grinders, molding machines, and furnaces.
Ability to travel to vendors ,customers, etc.
Must be highly safety conscious.
Able to move injection molds.
Understanding of testing and analysis theory, with the ability to analyze large amounts of data.
Well-organized, safety-conscious, and accountable for actions and performance
Work performed in a manufacturing environment.
Follow the standards of ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 International Standards

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft Outlook, Minitab Proficient with Microsoft Office products, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Minitab
Experience with Solidworks and MasterCam or equivalent modeling software
Experience with polymer compounding, injection molding, sintering, or CNC machining
Team player who can also work independently and thrives in a fast-paced environment
