SUMMARY: The Marketing Coordinator will support the marketing team in planning and executing events, promotions, and programming for the resort, membership and other departments. The incumbent will work with all resort departments to provide advertising, communication, and general support. The Coordinator will be a driven, positive, and creative contributor and professional communicator.
This is a year-round part-time position. The position requires a flexible schedule around the operations of the business units. The incumbent will be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays. This position may require travel.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Follow safety policies and procedures that help to prevent harm to associates, guests, and members

Maintain awareness of budget and seek approval for all purchases and expenditures from the Marketing Director

Assist with compiling event proformas and ROI reports on events and other marketing ventures

Assist and support the conceptualization, planning, execution, debriefing, and analysis on all signature resort events, holiday events, and resort programming. All pre- and post-event planning, i.e. organizing guest speakers, suppliers, bands, food and beverage, logistics including organizing facilities for guest services (ticketing, restrooms, refuse, etc.), car parking, traffic control, security, first aid, hospitality, media, and banquet event orders.

Maintain a working knowledge of the complex needs of a wide variety of events that co-exist with resort operations including craft vendors, live music, holiday activities, theater productions, recreational logistics and legalities, and culinary events

Research opportunities for new events, and brainstorm implementing event plans and concepts

Research vendors, suppliers, and contractors for services – negotiate price for services and conduct RFPs with multiple vendors

Assist in producing detailed proposals, internal and external traffic sheets/outlines for events (including timelines, venues, suppliers, legal obligations, staffing, and budgets)
- Assist in obtaining any required permits for events
- Assist in budgeting, invoicing and other financial event matters pertaining to each event

Coordinate suppliers, handle vendor queries and troubleshoot on the day of the event to ensure that all runs smoothly and in budget

Ensure insurance, legal, health and safety obligations are followed

Departmental support such as design/production needs; ie advertising, posters, flyers, menus, etc.

Assist with resort-wide content capture in a timely manner

Assist in organizing media libraries and catalogues
- Assist with internal and external communications including but not limited to website, social media (posting, monitoring, guest relations, analyzing/reporting), email/SMS/app, and informing associates.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to ski/snowboard intermediate to advance terrain strongly preferred

Proficiency with all types of social media, including but not limited to Facebook, X, Pinterest, Instagram, LinkedIn, SnapChat, and TikTok.

EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE GUIDELINES:
High School diploma or GED required.
