Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) - Avir at Hico - Night Shift

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team at Avir at Hico, a premier long-term care facility in Hico, Texas. As an LVN, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our residents, ensuring their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.

Responsibilities:

Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and assisting with daily living activities
Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff, ensuring that care is delivered in accordance with facility policies, procedures, and regulations
Develop and maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel, as well as other departments within the facility
Create and maintain a calm and positive environment throughout the unit
Ensure that all personnel, residents, and visitors follow established safety regulations, including fire protection and infection control
Participate in the comprehensive assessment of the nursing needs of each resident, developing care plans that address their unique needs and goals
Document all care and interactions with residents in a timely and accurate manner

Requirements:

Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing or vocational nursing
Valid State license to practice nursing
I.V. certification preferred
Ability to write and speak the English language in an understandable manner
Possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action
Possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the public
Ability to lift and transfer a minimum of 50 pounds
