Full Job Description

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Bring your expertise to a dynamic surgical environment, supporting excellence in patient care and procedural efficiency. In this contract opportunity, you will play a key role in the operating room, assisting the surgical team throughout a variety of procedures and contributing to optimal outcomes for every patient.

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure proper preparation and maintenance of a sterile field for all surgical cases.
Support surgeons by retracting and passing instruments, supplies, and medications during procedures.
Assist in the setup and breakdown of the operating room before and after cases.
Maintain accurate inventory and organization of surgical supplies and equipment.
Provide intraoperative patient care as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team.
Collaborate with perfusion, inpatient, outpatient, and operating room support functions, as needed.
Adhere to established protocols, safety standards, and infection control practices at all times.

Desired Qualifications:

Previous experience in nursing with a focus on Operating Room Technician (ORT) duties.
Current, valid certification or licensure as required by discipline.
Strong understanding of sterile technique and operating room workflow.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within a team.
Ability to remain calm, focused, and detail-oriented in a fast-paced setting.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and a variety of surgical specialties.
